Destil started in Tirana in 2014 by a group of friends aiming at open creative and shared spaces as a response to the changes happening to the city. They experimented with the program by combining architecture, cultural initiatives and sustainable economy. During 10 years Destil has established a dialogue with the local and international community of young minds. The vision of Destil has expanded and is now hosted in a building constructed in 1938, located in the area facing the new Bulevardi Zogu I. The current spaces and the program aim at learning, experimenting and sharing through art and other disciplines, while keeping the dialogue with the city and the other local, international and imaginary territories.

History & Neighborhood
Destil’s first location was a classic three-story 1930s villa, near the artistic lyceum of Tirana, which served as a co-working café, hostel, exhibition and event space. As Destil’s vision grew bigger, we expanded our spaces and continued our journey into two other key locations in the city: Destil Creative Hub in a 6-story building erected in 1938 in Bulevardi Zogu I and Destil B&B, a building of the same era, in the former Blloku neighborhood. Destil contributes to these areas by organizing and facilitating projects relating to art, design, culture and sustainability.
